Member of Parliament for Ho Central Hon. Benjamin Komla Kpodo on Monday March 30, 2020 at his private residence presented 1000 pieces of soaps, 1100 sanitizers ,25 veronica buckets and Five Thousand Cedis ( 5,000.00) as his first consignment of items to support health workers and communities within the constituency against Covid-19.
The presentation, according to the MP, is his personal contribution to support health workers and citizens against the fast spreading coronavirus which has claimed many lives across the globe.
Though the Volta Region is yet to record any case, the MP maintains the battle against Coronavirus must be collective.
He called on residents who were helping other nationals to enter Ghana through unapproved routes to desist from the act. He further called on all to report such strangers and their smugglers to the appropriate offices for prompt action.
“I will urge citizens to report cases of strange people to health and security authorities before they enter town”
The items were distributed to Health Institutions including Miracle Life Clinic, Ho Municipal Hospital, Royal Hospital, Transport Unions,, Associations Security Agencies, PWD Groups and the Ghana Education Service.
