Mawuli Yevu-Agbi Participates in International Visitor Leadership Program in the US

The Station Manager for Volta Premier FM, Hubert Mawuli Yevu-Agbi is currently in the United States participating in a professional exchange program dubbed International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) in the United States.

 

Hubert Mawuli Yevu-Agbi Ho is Ghana’s representative in a group of 15 journalists selected across Africa for the program for 3 weeks in the United States sponsored by the US Department of State.

The countries participating in this particular program include Ghana, Togo, Senegal, Cote D’Ivoire, Nigeria, Niger, Chad and Gambon. The rest are Lesotho, Madagascar, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Rwanda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The program offers the opportunity to the visiting journalists to exchange ideas with Americans and collaborate on best practices and common challenges in their profession and to become personally acquainted with the United States.

The visiting journalists are participating in professional development and University led seminars highlighting current trends and challenges in the media profession, foreign affairs reporting and political affairs coverage.

 The program is on the theme Integrity in Journalism: 21st Century Approaches to Print and Radio Journalism. The program which started on February 23 ends on March 18, 2018.
