The Black Stars of Ghana were kicked out of the 32nd Africa Cup of Nations by the carthage eagles of Tunisia in the round 16 games in Ismailia,Egypt on July 8,2019.
The Black Stars who went into the game with a history glory over Tunisia were held to a goalless draw in the first half but a goal from Taha Khenissi gave the Cartage eagles a hope of progression.
An injury time own goal from substitute Rami Badoui sent the game into extra time which ended 1-1.
The Black Stars after the 120 minutes, lost on penalties by 4-5 ending their campaign in the 2019 Afcon.
The quarter finals of the African championship will be played on July 10 and July 11 respectively.
The Teranga Lions of Senegal plays the Squirrels of Benin on Wednesday,July 10 at 5pm with Nigeria continuing their fourth title chase against South Africa at 7pm.
Ivory Coast who sent Mali packing in the round of 16 with a late goal from Wilfred Zaha on July 11 takes on Algeria at 5pm. The last quarter final game will be between debutants Madagascar and Tunisia at 7pm.
